Evaluation kits of our Nucleus RTOS products are the best "tools" to try and to learn Nucleus. Evaluation kit downloads are available at

You would also need Alera&#39;s version 5.1 or 6.0 tools. The Altera tools have to be installed first before Nucleus is installed.

When the RTOS for the NIOS II Nucleus evaluation kit is installed, you will be prompted to save the Application Note will appear. Please save these notes. It will guide you step-by-step through using Nucleus. The evaluation kit includes a Nucleus demo that will illustrate creating, building and executing a Nucleus application for the NIOS II.
