Help with Nios design

Question

I am trying to figure out how to implement a nios II embedded system which uses a USB connected keypad and displays input to the LCD monitor on the DE2 board. I am new to using the Nios processor and I am a little overwhelmed. If anyone has relevant design tutorials or help in any form it would be greatly appreciated

Towards the bottom you'll see a section entitled "Embedded Design Handbook":

http://www.altera.com/literature/hb/nios2/edh_ed_handbook.pdf

Should prove useful. While Nios development is very user friendly, you should not expect to pick it up overnight without a little reading.
