i agree with you hippo, this is the way to go.
if you need help with hosting, i can create a subdomain.
for now, i think i am going to release patches on the original kernels when i have stable kernels. it's too hard to keep track of all the different drivers i am working on. so for 2.6.11, i will release patches that will work against the stock linux.org kernels. it will be easy for people to patch it then.
if you would like to work on my svn repository, let me know (http://via.dynalias.org). otherwise, we will have to find some space for it elsewhere. my domain doesn't have the capabilities to host it (fps-tech).
