Gdb over ethernet

I would like to debug linux applications with nios2-elf-gdb using the ethernet port (I'm using an Altera Cyclone II Nios II development board). Can anybody give me any hints on how to do this ?

If this is too complicated, how about using nios2-elf-gdb (i.s.o eclipse) to debug an application using the normal JTAG debugger.

    Hi, there's some information for debugging via GDB over JTAG in the reference guide. Give that a try and feel free to ask me any questions if you're having difficulty with those instructions.
