ftpd?

I can upload files to my board using the ftp server on the default configuration on the EPC12 Eval board. However when I put the files there (either copy them to the /home/ftp directory or upload them) they dissapear on the ftp client side, and the server does not serve the files. I set all the files to be readable by any user, chmod +r filename . Any sugestions on how to make this work?
