I&#39;ve observed if I leave my SOPC Builder window open while Quartus II is doing a compilation it will sometimes cause the compilation to get "stuck" in the fitter for a long time around the 50%- 75% mark (even for a simple/small SOPC Builder system that compiled quickly before). Once I close the SOPC builder window the compiler will quickly finish compilation shortly after I close my window.

I now make sure I my SOPC Builder window is closed when I kick off a complilation in Quartus.
