EPCS boot understanding

Hi guys, I have a 2C8 board with a EPCS4 flash for FPGA configuration and software. Now I trying to get both in the flash: SOF conversion: sof2flash --epcs -input=nem2.sof --output=nem2....

...and if what I need is a POF file for programming the EPCS during production using the Quartus programmer or a custom programming tool?
