eCos for Nios, not Nios 2

Hello

I have a niso development board, stratix professional edition and I wish to put eCos on it. I want to know if this is possible and if a port is done. I'm a newbie in this.

    Even though the board is called a Nios Development Board, there's nothing to stop you getting the Nios II kit and running Nios II based systems on that board.

    If you really want to use Nios (rather than Nios II), then a basic port was done some time ago by Qiang Huang at Liverpool university as a part of his Ph.D. work. You can download this from his old home page (http://www.liv.ac.uk/~jameshq/).

    However I would strongly recommend that you use Nios II for any new project that you are starting.
