eCos 5.1 Install Failure on Nios EDS 6.1

Installing eCos 5.1 on top of Nios EDS 6.1 fails. I contacted Altera Support and was told to modify the version.ptf file in the c:\altera\61\nios2eds directory.

Change

number = "6.1";

to

number = "5.1";

save and install eCos.

I switched it back after a successful install.

    Seen the bot messages lately I don't think that there's an admin around here.

    But can this topic, or atleast the first message of this topic, placed in the notification post (which is sticky?)

    This is very usefull for new people, but eventually this post will disapear in history.
