Difference: EP1s10F780C5/C6

Hi

I'm using QuartusII 4.2 web ed. with Nios2 evaluation kit at a nios development kit board with a Stratix EP1S10F780C6ES chip. But in Quartus only EP1s10F780C5 is listed, not C6. Is there major differences on these two chips? Can I choose the C5-chip in Quartus?

Stian

The C5 is a faster speed grade than the C6. Usually (probably always) FPGAs of the different speed grades migrate to eachother (of the same type). So you can choose that device in your version of Quartus. Be sure to keep in the back of your mind that you are using a slowing speed grade FPGA than what you selected in Quartus (so don't design your hardware to the fastest possible speed Quartus tells you is possible).
