Cygwin problem in Nios2 IDE

Hello, I've just installed the Nios2 Evaluation Kit 5.01 on Windows XP and tried to build an example project. However the build was unsuccessful, with the IDE poping up an error message say...

Cygwin is required, but it should be installed as part of Quartus II. If you don't have Quartus II installed, then, perhaps, that is your issue?

P.S.: This is not uncommon. Palm requires the same thing for their Eclipse-based IDE.
