Cordic in Nios 2

Hello,

I am new to Nios and know little or nothing about the HAL library. I have developed a cordic algorithm in plain old C code and now have to include HAL functions. I have been reading the Altera Nios 2 software developers handbook and I seem to be going nowhere fast.

If anyone could give me some directions or assistance it would be greatly appreciated.
