Configure Kernel menu disappeared!

i installed the nios ii 1.0 and embedded linux a while ago. it worked well. today when i tried again to build a linux kernel project inside of nios ii ide, i could not find the "configure kernel" command from the drop down menu by right-click the created project. does anyone know why it happened?
