Can't get BeMicro Max 10 NIOS to run

I'm probably missing a step - I just can't figure out which one!

I'm trying to get 'hello world' running on the BeMicro Max-10. I'm following <https://cloud.altera.com/devstore/platform/15.0.0/become-an-fpga-designer-in-4-hour-lab-solution/>

I get to the very last step - l load the code via eclipse, the NIOS console come on-line, and nothing.

Any clues?
