Has anyone had any luck running a ByteBlaster on a USB Parallel adaptor?

Altera_ForumThis is unlikely to work.
The byteblaster drivers access the hardware directly (on Win98/ME), via their own kernel mode driver (on WinNT/2000/XP) or via /dev/parport (recent versions of Linux).- Altera_Forum
