hi folks,

what os would people recommend a newbi implement on his nios-ii system, so that he can run tcp/ip, udp, ethernet etc.

i am looking for an os with the most support / devkit / forum experiance.

uclinux seems popular, but i have no experiance of implementing an os on nios, so good documentation, tutorials and reference examples are a key concern.

Sure, you should try uClinux. It is not difficult.

Please follow the uClinux guide on the Nios Wiki, and try out the prebuild image first.

Then setup a Linux PC, install the binary toolchains and uClinux-dist.

You can find with google for documentation, tutorials and reference examples.
