Basic Design for a uCLinux?

Hello, i am trying to put a linux inside NIOS but i can't do a project that can handle it. (Don't know why)

What do i need in my project (SOPC BUILDER))? A Standard NIOS and a Memory?

And what else do i need to do in my project (before putting the linux inside).

I do know how to compile the linux, compile programs and etc but i also want to know the hardware part of the project..

I've read a lot of NIOSWIKI but i can't find any topics related to the how to do the hardware project itself.
