Background information about SOPC builder

Hello,

For a presentation I would like to have some background information of Nios and SOPC builder. Especially the data flow when designing a system in the SOPC builder is interesting. What’s going up when clicking the “Generate†button in the SOPCB? Will the whole system be build up in VHDL/Verilog? Or are there some presynthesized components?

I didn’t find enough useable information about this topic. So perhaps someone could help me.

    You can generally look at the log file to see what's happening.

    Different things happen depending on wether you are using legacy or IDE for software. But otherwise I think it's all in the log file.
