Avalon Specification & Writing custom module

Hello guys,

Anyone has any idea of how I can find Avalon Specification and writing hardware custom module that interfaces with it (and maybe how it is interfaced with NIOS II)

I need the complete source code of how you go about doing the interface.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

    Forgot to mention this.

    Actually, I have got and read through the interface_avalon_spec.pdf from the Altera website but I dont think it has got the sample source code of interfacing with the avalon bus. I need the source code to get more information on this.
