Anyone knows how 2 years of posts disappeared?

Hi everyone, I don't know what surprised me the most. That 2 years of valuable information completely dissapeared from this forum, or that there's no explanation in this regard anywhere...

Yes it was a disk crash and the host service had no valid backups. The only image on the server that could be found was two years old. After the incident of no backups we switched to a different hosting service that provides daily backups of the system.
