AMD S29GL256M and JFFS2

Hello,

can someone tell me if the S29GL256M flash from Altera is really compatible with the CFI interface and the MTD driver ?

Another question : I plan to use this flash with a JFFS2 under uClinux, does anyone know whether it is better to use it in word mode (16 bits data) or in byte mode ? Which mode will provide better results with JFFS2 ?
