Honored Contributor --- Quote Start --- I can confirm this issue is in 15.0, but didn’t see it at all in 13.1, latest sp. I am running quartus on Ubuntu. The PLL wizard GUI becomes unresponsive and mega_altpllq is using 100% of one core endlessly, which definitely makes it hard to get stuff done. Text based is more productive. --- Quote End --- I have seen it in 13.1, 14.1 and 15.0. The thread you pointed me at (below) is specifically about 14.1, and the trick of re-sizing the window does not work for me. I like this quote: " Since this is a valid bug, I think Altera should look into the bug. " I do not know anything about text based - other than to edit the XML file(s). What is strange is that it will work every now and then - I got it (altpll megawizard in 15.0) to work twice - in about 50 tries. And to make it stranger, when 15.0 works, so does 14.1 and 13.1 - when it does not, 13.0sp1 is the most modern version that does work. This is really making me wish I had chosen a different FPGA vendor, and will colour the recommendations I make to clients.
