about the system id

What is the system id used for? If I add a system id component in the sopc builder,the system will generate an id and a timestamp.Which value will be compared with the system id? Thanks!

It's a small component used to crossreference your hardware (SOPC Builder system) and software. This is so you don't make changes in SOPC Builder, download the hardware, then try to run incompatible software on it. I recommend leaving it on during your development since you may save yourself a few hours of debug due to a simple mistake of downloading the wrong file.
