A good starter kit (With LAN+RS485+LCD+Keypad)

Hi all,

I hope its ok for me ask such a dummy level question here. I am a newbie for FPGA technology. I just have graduated from school. I like to learn about FPGA s. I have been looking into buying a starter kit. Is there a cheap starter kit that comes with Ethernet, RS485, LCD & Keypad. I heard Altera comes with all the IDE & compilers + docs for a cheap price.

Thanks

    Hi Ezl,

Altera's development kits cost about $999, and you get a whole lot for that. Check out Altera's web site.

My company sells a cheap development board for $49, but you an FPGA, no memory, and an evaluation of

    Quartus with NiosII.

Check out out are website: www.futureelectronics.com

Since you are almost still a "student" - you might also check out the lower cost Altera University Program boards.
