it synthesises out-of-the-box in Q2 5.0, given that you add the memories and keep the hdl files in correct order (mc8051_p.vhd as topmost etc.) Just out of curiosity, why 8051? Are you migrating some old assembler code? A comparable NIOS II/e/s system requires less logic resources, runs faster and comes with a state-of-the-art IDE and C/C++ compiler. Cheers, Roger
