1.4 with 5.1

Can we use Linux1.4 with Nios 2 IDE 5.1

Actually, while downmloading the .sof of the linux_1c20 project on FPGA

after programming is 100% complete it gives error message :

Can't communicate with device. and loads the FPGA with factory image.

I have tried to download same using Quartus II 5.0 and 5.1 programmer but the error persists.

I am able to download all other .sof other than this one.

Though Nios2 is time limited opencore I am not closing the message window that appears after downloading.Even after flashing the error message the window remains.

What must be the problem?

    Hello!

    I use the Nios II Linux Distribution 1.4.0 and Nios II IDE Version 5.1.

    I have a Stratix II development board.

    For the kernel I use

    \altera\kits\nios2\examples\verilog\niosII_stratixII_2s60_ES\standard\std_2s60ES.ptf

    With this combination I have no problems.

    What board do you use?

    This issue is resolved.

    5.1 patch for Quartus II and Nios II were required.

    Microtrinix Linux Distribution 1.4 is giving problem -

    After installing the Microtronics option is not appearing in

    Nios II IDE-> New Projects
