SIGNAL COMPILER not compiling

I was just trying to learn how to use DSP builder using the DSP user guide. On designing a block in SIMULINK and compiling with d signalcompiler, it doesn't compile, but contains of a license file. I am using DSP Builder 9.1 with MATLAB 2009a. pls I need advice, cos I need to get the VHDLofthe model I did in SIMULINK

    What do you exactly mean by "doesn't compile" ? What's the error message ?

    There could be many cases of issues.

    Did you follow the User guide correctly to set the Model (DSP builder installation, discrete solver etc...) ?

    If a source is driven by a Matlab variable, be sure it is present in the Matlab workspace etc...
