Honored ContributorThe SDRAM controller respectively the complete design can be simulated with ModelSim, using a RAM vendor supplied HDL model. Some Altera example designs used also simplifed SRAM models (functional without any timing).
I can't see how a SDRAM cotroller could be simulated with embedded RAM.
