Hi Wincent
I still cant find anything that explains what the procedure is when we have a new configuration file that we like to configure the Agilex with without causing a crash or reboot. The document says reboot!!
Hi Shanti,
What do you means new configuration ? Is it new .sof file to configure the pcie ?
All PCIe need to go through reboot for re-enumeration process, so reboot is mandatory for the PCIe to link up. (This is based on PCI-SIG specification standard)

Hi Shanti,
I dont get what you trying to achieve, is it reboot is something strictly not needs in your project requirement ?
You means , you dont want to reboot the host only or the FPGA ?
IF the host only, you may configure the FPGA (power ON) , while the Host is OFF.
With that once the FPGA configured, you may just power ON the host itself, that is one of the method without reboot.
Another method is , you may check on PCIe supports hot-plug and hot-reset features, which allow devices to be added or reset without rebooting the host. Not all motherboards or systems support PCIe hot-plug. Many servers and enterprise boards do, but typical desktop motherboards often do not.
If you wish to know more, do appreciate if you can provide more information so that I can understand what you trying to achieve.
