In remote update mode, factory image can not go to application image after reconfig input is triggered in factory image.

Hi,

Yes, you could use JTAG for Remote System Upgrade (RSU).

Following link is the RSU design for your reference. This design use Cyclone 10 LP device with Remote Update IP core and ASMI Parallel IP II core. Please refer to following link for more understanding on RSU for Intel FPGA device.
