Honored ContributorI have never used this core, or heard anything about it, but I do believe this is what you are looking for:
http://www.opencores.org/projects.cgi/web/ddr_sdr/overview As a general rule, opencores.org is a good place to start when looking for code--most of it is in Verilog, but there is some VHDL.
