compile FPGA IP over palladium (IXCOM)

Hi

we are trying to compile and emulate FPGA IP of DDR over Palladium emulator.

is there any document we can learn how to overcome the encrypted files ?

is there any document which describes which defines we should use , as there are flags for different simulation tools ?

  • Hi Orf,

Can you help to clarify for me what is the palladium (IXCOM) that you meant ?

    Thank you in advance

the Palladium platform from Cadence is a sophisticated emulation system designed to handle the verification and debugging of complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs

The iXCOM tool from Cadence is part of their Protium™ X2 emulation/prototyping platform. It is used to enhance the efficiency and performance of simulation acceleration. Specifically, iXCOM helps in compiling large netlist files more efficiently by reusing existing netlists, which significantly reduces overall compile time 1.

This tool is particularly useful in the stages of compile, place and route, and runtime within the Protium flow 2. It supports both ICE (In-Circuit Emulation) and IXCOM modes, making it versatile for various design and verification tasks 2.

  • Hi Orf,

Sorry for keeping you in wait, kindly provide us some time to get back to you the workaround after checking with the relevant team regarding this

    Thank you in advance

  • Hi Orf,

Sorry for keeping you in wait. After double checking with the respective team, it has been confirmed that we only support simulation through this platform but not on emulation.

    Simulation tools as below:

    Cadence

    Modelsim

    Riviera

    VCS

    Xcelium

Hope this answers your question ^-^ Beyond this, is there any support that needed from our end ?

    Best Regards

    Hubert
