Thanks for the info.

I couldn't find any information about the reset order. I read it on some other site and used it. Thanks for clarifying that.

Right now, all I want to do just get this link up working with this external switch hence the reason I did the loopback in the core. Unless, there is something missing that isn't in the datasheets, I thought it would be simple enough to tie the tx and rx databuses/ctrl lines in the FPGA core and it should work. Sounds like there is something else that needs to be done here.
