Hello,
- 200GE modes (such as 200GE-2 / 200GE-4 / 200GE-8) are de-featured on blank-suffix and “B”-suffix production silicon.
- The restriction is tied to use of the 200G Ethernet Hard IP configuration itself.
- It does not imply that the entire Ethernet hard block (MAC/PCS/FEC for lower rates) is unusable.
Therefore, configurations like:
- 10GE-1
- 25GE-1
- 50GE-1
should still be usable, including their associated MAC/PCS/FEC functionality.
- 200GE-4 / 200GE-8 bonded configurations → unsupported on blank or B suffix devices.
- 10/25/50GE-1 using MAC/FEC/PCS → Remain supported.

Hi Paveet,
Thanks for the clarification. Good that the other modes are still available.I have been reading this a bit further, and it seems that the 200G HIP block is de-featured, but the 400G block is still enabled. So can't we do 200GE-4/8 using the 400G HIP block?

No problem.
Unfortunately, No. The presence of the 400G HIP does not imply that 200GE-4/8 is an allowed workaround for a de-featured 200G HIP block.
Not sure how feasible would that be but just suggesting, If your design requires use of the 200G Hard IP block, use production devices with OPNs that have "C" suffix.
