VLYNQ on altera FPGA

Hello,

i'm looking at implementing VLYNQ interface support on Altera FPGA (would like it to be able to communicate with TMS320DM6446 from TI). However, VLYNQ interface documentation i was able to find (SPRUER8.pdf) lacks detailed specifications required to implement it manually.

Has anyone tried this before? Is there any VLYNQ modules for Altera FPGAs available?

Any help would be appreciated,

-Edmundas

    Hi,

i tried doing the same a few years back. The VLYNQ spec is owned to TI and wasn't publically available. There are 3rd party vendor solutions out there but only for X devices at the time. We ended up using another interface.

Thank you. I want TUSB6020 to communicate with FPGA via VLYNQ interface,so I have to realise some VLYNQ functions on FPGA. Do I need extra external controller?

just use the FPGA as a controller.

Your challenge here will be actually getting the VLYNQ specification. If you do have it can you send it to me?

    Thanks

I have been looking for the VLYNQ specification recently, but have only got the TMS320DM644x DMSoC VLYNQ Port User's Guide from TI website, which is not specific.

As i mention above, TI own this specification and the wont easily give it out to people.
