videopal with verilog

hallo here,i am trying to realize a PAL image processing application in verilog, firs i have initialized the TV decode ADV 7180 and now i would like to detect the hs or vs, could someone tell me which step i would do to realize it...i use a FPGA cyclone 2.

    The ADV7180 provides HS and VS outputs. In other words, it extracts the sync signals for you. What is it you want to do with them?

    i want to decode Pal signal video and take it to VGA decoder and show them to a display
