It would be very cool if there was a functional model that would emulate the different programming modes so I could verify my design. Does anyone know if a functional model for device programming exists?

This may be useful to you. At the same time there is a chance there may be an error on line 268. I'm trying to verify this. Which FPGA and mode are you looking for.
