recompile needed in project navigator

Hi all

I have created a project through project navigator, set project options and added source files and finally generated the tcl script file to be able to run the flow through the command line.

The problem is that i created a bash script to evaluate the tcl and run the flow from quartus_map to quartus_sta but when i open the project in quartus project navigator i find that synthesis and fitting are not marked as green indicating successful run like the case when running the flow from GUI and if i tried to run time quest analyzer the project navigator starts the flow from the beginning !!! although i have already finished running the flow using terminal.

Any help ? i want the project navigator to see the synthesis, fitting and sta as done and mark them green

    None replied !!! let me define the problem more

    I have to run synthesis on a certain machine that has a license for encrypted source files but this machine is slow one, it's a dual core machine, the tool do not check the license in the fitting phase so i can run quartus_fit on another machine which has 4 cores. I then need to check for the license again in the assembly phase "quartus_asm" so i return back to the machine that has the license. When i finally open the project navigator and program the device through signal tab it tells me recompile the project to continue !!! it sees the project not compiled although i have successfully compiled it using terminal on two machines as i stated above

    How the project navigator updates the status of the project, to know if it has been compiled or not ?

    i've noticed the Tasks window changing itself to yellow a little bit too easily. i'm not sure what it bases its status on but my guess it is a bug. can you file a Service Request with Altera to report it?

    i'm not sure its directly related to the SignalTap problem you're seeing. what version of software are you using?

    I'm using version 9.1, i notice also this issue, when i run analysis and synthesis only and then start fitter i find analysis and synthesis turned to yellow !!!

    I will try different strategies to make sure it's not a problem with the project or a network delay as my home as remotly mounted.

    There is another point i should ask about, The machine with cores license has redhat while the strong one has ubuntu10.4. I want to know if changing OS's causes this problem

    i just ignore the color of the tasks and use Processing > Start > Start [tool] if I want to run a specific tool. i don't think it has to do with your remote paths or changing the OS
