Programming the Arria 10 GX FPGA Development Kit

Hello, Can I program this kit's FPGA using a .sof file or do I need to first generate a .flash file? Please include instructions if a .sof file is sufficient. Thanks.

Just for shiggles, how about flipping SW4-1 and SW4-2 to their opposite positions and see if there's a change in the JTAG chain?

Tried it. Programming still fails and same error message.

    But does the JTAG chain appear differently in either the Programmer or the JTAG Chain Debugger?
