Programming a 7000S CPLD and getting 'Device Revision not supported'

Hi,

Im trying to download to a EPM7064SLC10-N using a usb blaster and V13.0.1 (SP1) programming software.

The error I get is :

Info (209006): Device# 1 Silicon ID is ALTERA97(0C)

Info (209006): Device revision is not supported

Error (209012): Operation failed

Looks like the device is being read but how do I achieve the correct revision?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Just wonder if you are using web edition or subscription version? Can you try with other QII version to see if similar issue occurs?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I only have the web edition but I get the same error with version 11.

Could it be that Im trying to revise the device rather than load all of the program or could it be the revision of the device is not suitable?

This is my first time at trying to use an Altera device so I need to get this working to build my confidence int their products.]

    Thanks

    hi,

Like I said in my original post I am using 13.0 sp1 and in a later post I have tried using version 11

Does anyone actually know what the error means?

    Thanks

      Hey everyone,

I have the same Issue. I would like to program EPM7128STI100-10n with Quartus II 13.0 sp1.

For some CPLD's the programmer shows the following message:

      Device# 1 Silicon ID is ALTERA17(00)

      Device revision is not supported

      Operation failed

Does anyone have an idea for a workaround of this issue?

      Best regards

      Max
