Program over USB Blaster with other JTAG Device in Chain

Hello

I would like to program the FPGA 5AGXMB7G4F35 with a .sof file. In the chain there are 6 more devices, which are not FPGA but JTAG capable. All these devices are in JTAG mode. If I want to program now I get the following error: Unexpected error in JTAG serve -- error code 38 (look picture attached).

I hope someone can help me.

Thank you

      Hi Aiman,

i tried this, but then I became the error, that is only 1 device expected, but 7 devices found. (see the picuture attached).

  • Hi,

Thanks for the update. Can you try the following steps (attached) after completed the compilation:

    1. Open programmer

    2. Select all files

    3. click delete

    4. click auto-detect

Once the programmer managed to detect the correct device, you just need to choose which design files to load to the device.

The number of programming files in the programmer needs to match to the number of physical device in the JTAG chain. You just need to program the one programming file at a time.

    Regards,

    Aiman
