Problem configuring Arria II GX in AS mode with EPCS128

I'm having some problems getting my FPGA to get the correct configuration from the config flash EPCS128 in AS mode.

• I have verified that my build is ok and I can program the FPGA using my .sof. The FPGA is alive and well using my .sof

• I can program the EPCS128 using the indirect method with a .jic file. I can program and verify that the flash gets programmed.

• I have verified that the MSEL lines are in the AS mode, standard POR.

• I have verified that nConfig = pulled high, conf_done = pulled high, STATUSn = pulled high and nCE pulled low.

• I've tried to generate my .jic with and without compression.

• I've tried both at 20MHz and 40 MHz AS clock.

Monitoring the STATUSn line on a scope it seems to try to load over and over again failing at the same place. Since I can program and verify my configuration to the conf flash my interface should be good. I'm at loss of what to try next. Any help would be highly appreciated.
