PLL output accuracy of 5CEFA9F31C8N (cyclone V)

Hi,

I would like to generate a reference clock for a Function Generator of one manufacturer. In specification of the function generator, input reference frequency is 10MHz +/-5ppm (50Hz). I am currently use cyclone V FPGA (5CEFA9F31C8N). Therefore, I would like to ask, can 5CEFA9F31C8N generate this input frequency with the accuracy of +/- 5ppm?

Thank you very much,

Best regards,

Shukri

The frequency accuracy of the PLL output will be the same as the frequency accuracy of its reference clock source.

    That is how PLLs work.

The jitter characteristic of the generated PLL output will depend on a number of factors (input clock jitter, loop bandwidth, power supply noise, etc) but this is a short term effect (ie, on the level of clock to clock cycles) and is not a long term effect on the PPM accuracy.
