Nios II Development Kit Getting Started User Guide is not working

Hi,

I have the Nios II Development Kit with Cyclone II EP2C35F.

I installed the Quartus 2 9.1 sp2 web edition from the altera homepage.

then I used the Nios II Development Kit Getting Started User Guide that came with the box. (has a P25-10108-05 in the lower left corner)

Be sure to connect the Jtag correctly and when you connect the power then you should have all sorts of blinking lights. Follow the instruction on page 1-7 and 1-8 to check the board.

when you open the Quartus II project then be sure to open the example that fits your fpga (in my case niosII_cycloneII_2c35).

Then download the pattern to the fpga (download hardware image on page 1-9). You need to do this every time you remove the power to the board.

Then go to the Nios II IDE and try to send program over... be sure to select the same hardware target as there was in the example you used to program the fpga.
