Modelsim and Legup

In the legup tutorial shown at the website: http://legup.eecg.utoronto.ca/getstarted.php It does not say which version of modelsim to download and to use. I downloaded and installed 1...

Wrong version; the AE in the name stands for "Altera Edition", which requires a license. You want the free "Altera Starter Edition", which I'd guess should have ase in its filename.
