Max Plus II Simulator Installed hardware does not support use device option

Hi,

I am trying to simulate an old FLEX10KE design, on a windows 7 64 bit pc using max plus II and a hardware dongle. When I simulate I get the error message "Installed hardware does not support Use Device option". What causes this error message and how can I get round this, if need be what versions of quartus webpack can simulate with the Flex10KE?

    The last version to support Flex10k was 9.1. And afaik, the only officially supported operating system is XP 32 bit.
