Loading .bdf file into ModelSim

I have a .bdf file (a schematic file) that I would like to load into ModelSim for the purpose of simulating the file with a waveform. However, it seems that the software does not allow this type of file because the it failed to compile.

Is there a way to input this type of file that allows the compilation to be performed correctly?

    You need to convert it to HDL first, as graphic files are not supported in simulation. File -> convert -> HDL
