Thanks for you reply. But you do not understand my answer correctly.

I know this item already EOL, but I want to know what’s the best before date for using and how long can a chip be used if it was in the package?

Hi Chris, 

 

Oh you mean the data retention period once it programmed? The data retention period for Altera device is 10years.

    Because it has been EOL years ago, if I can still used it well now?   And how long can this chip be used if it preserved well?

      Hi Chris, 

       

      Maybe it was not in the RR because already EOL. Basically data retention period is 10yrs. Started from you programmed the device for the first time. 

      The shelf life of the device if preserved well is also 10yrs.
