It is possible to use ODP 315 Ballout LPDDR5 Device in ADL-N Platform?

Hi,

Refer to section 4.1 in 646929_ADL_N_TWL_PDG_Rev2p6, Intel recommends DDP/QDP

315 Ballout MDx32 Memory Device ,it is possible to use ODP 315 Ballout Device as SK hynix H9JCNNNFA5MLYR-N6E LPDDR5 8GB (x8, 2 Channel) device ?

    Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum.


    According to section 4.1 of the 646929_ADL_N_TWL_PDG_Rev2p6 documentation, Intel recommends using DDP or QDP 315 Ballout MDx32 memory devices for the ADL-N platform. The ODP 315 Ballout variant, including the SK Hynix H9JCNNNFA5MLYR-N6E you mentioned, is not listed as a supported device.


    Using the ODP 315 Ballout could cause issues such as signal integrity problems, memory training failures during boot, system instability, and compatibility challenges with power management features.


    To ensure reliable performance, it’s best to use the Intel-recommended DDP or QDP 315 Ballout devices, which have been tested and validated for this platform.
