ISP for MAX9400 208 pin series via JTAG with ALtera tools ( software and hardware )

Hi to all,

I want do do some ISP on Altera MAX9400 series devices - that is extract configurations and re-write configurations. From looking through the Altera site information it appears that the software required may be MAX+PLUS II and the hardware Master Blaster Communications Cable. However the data sheet for the Master Blaster indicates software support only from Quartus --- but Quartus does not support MAX9400 as far as I can tell.

What is the recommended combination of software and hardware from Altera for ISP via JTAG to/from MAX9400 series please ?
